The Embroiderers' Guild Museum Collection is a unique single subject collection of historical, contemporary and world embroidery dating from the Coptic period to contemporary times. It includes costume, furnishings, ceremonial and domestic items representing embroidery practice and use from cultures around the world.
Collection Study Sessions are free of charge and offer individual untutored opportunities for you to look closely at items specially selected to support your particular area of study or interest.

You are also welcome to arrange a visit with your Guild Branch or group of Guild Members where we include a talk from the Senior Curator illustrated by items from the Collection, followed by an opportunity to see how we store the Collection. Such visits are also free of charge.
