Two Embroiderers' Guild Scholarships of £1000 each are awarded annually to embroiderers to develop the practice of embroidery. Emma Valentine and Clyde Olliver were selected by the Embroiderers Guild to be the Scholars for 2007, Emma Valentine in the 18 -30 category, and Clyde Olliver in the over-30 category.
The Embroiderers' Guild celebrated its centenary in 2006, with a wide range of events that took place throughout the UK, including In Our Time at the 2006 Knitting and Stitching Shows, art of the STITCH & SCHOLAR, and a week of celebrations in May entitled A Stitch in Time.
