Riches of Stitches 2007

Riches of Stitches 2007 opened to great acclaim at Bilston Craft Gallery, Wolverhampton, in May 2007, and then toured to the Bankfield Museum, Halifax, in July.

The exhibition presented nearly 100 works from Members of the Embroiderers' Guild, including Young Embroiderers. Visitors were treated to a wealth of embroidery showing the vitality and diversity of this medium in the 21st century.

Riches of Stitches is a major exhibition of work from Guild Members, and takes place every three to four years. It is presented by the Embroiderers' Guild, with prizes to the value of £150 (£250 Anchor Prize) donated by Coats Crafts UK brand Anchor.

For a list of prize winners, with images, please see this page. The judges were very impressed by the variety and quality of all of the work in the exhibition, and some Members received a commendation for their work (see prize list for information).
