Riches of Stitches returned to the Collins Gallery after its first showing at this venue 10 years ago. This exhibition delivered what its name suggests: a wealth of embroidery by Members of the Embroiderers' Guild showing the vitality and diversity of this medium in the 21st century.

The Embroiderers' Guild received a remarkable 224 entries to this very well received and visited exhibition, where visitors were able to see a large variety of work including those pieces that won awards, generously donated by Coats Crafts UK, as follows:

Anchor Prize for most outstanding work in the exhibition
Elizabeth Pirrie - "Ayrshire Christening Robe"
Hand Embroidery award for most outstanding work featuring hand embroidery
Angela Elliot - "Birdbrain"
Machine Embroidery award for most outstanding work featuring machine embroidery
Brenda Norquay - "Journey & Symbols, Maeshowe"
Construction award for most outstanding work using stitch to construct raised or three-dimensional work, or structures
Sandra Middleton - "Push and Shove"
Surface Design award for most outstanding work using stitch to explore pattern and decoration
Frieda Oxenham - "Eastern Riches"
Award for most outstanding work by a Young Embroiderer aged 14 years and over
Hannah Donegani - "Fabric Money"
Award for most outstanding work by a Young Embroiderer aged under 14 years
Michaela Swan - "My Young Embroiderers Book"
