UPDATE [23 Dec 2011]: All the workshops advertised at the AGM are now full, however we have added a Goldwork workshop both in the morning and the afternoon (the same time as the others). Tthey will be run by Sarah Rakestraw from Golden Hinde.
The Guild's AGM in 2012 will be held in the North West England's coastal resort of Southport. Southport is easily accessible by road, rail or air from most parts of the UK.
Whilst a full programme of workshops, talks and outings will be offered during the three days of the conference, there are plenty of other attractions in the area to entertain for a longer stay; world-famous golf courses, wildlife sanctuaries and stylish shops to name but a few. There is a theory that Southport's Lord Street with its canopied pavements, fountains and gardens was the blue print for Paris's Champs Elysees.
The Convention Centre and Ramada Hotel on the promenade will be the venue for the Guild's events. Alternative accommodations abound in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.
Friday March 30th to Sunday April 1st are the dates - the Guild AGM taking place on the morning of Saturday 31st March. Please put the dates in your diary and let's make it the best attended AGM yet!
