Embroiderer's Guild museum collection

Crewel work from the Embroiderers' Guild collection

Within the Collection are a number of pieces decorated with crewel work embroidery.

Crewel wool is a two-ply worsted yarn, and crewel work is the name given to free style embroidery which uses that yarn.
