As an educational charity the Guild is committed to a role in life-long learning to enable people of all ages to acquire embroidery skills and to learn through embroidery.
The Guild's educational activity takes many forms, and is currently available both through the centrally originated learning programme, at Hampton Court Palace and throughout the Regional and Branch network, making the Guild one of the UK's leading providers of craft and contextual education.
The education programme is developed to suit all ages and abilities and includes access to the museum collection and resources, through Workshops, Collection Study Days and Family Days which enable adults and children to learn together.
Professional tutors and artists run regular workshops at Hampton Court throughout the year, providing an exciting programme within the rich diversity of embroidery.
Since 2001 the Embroiderers' Guild has been an approved centre for the delivery of City & Guilds courses, including a distance learning package.
Exhibitions. The Embroiderers' Guild is represented at major international art and craft exhibitions including the Knitting & Stitching Show, the Fashion & Embroidery Show and the Festival of Quilts.
